Associate Professor Zhou Wentao is the Deputy Head (Postgraduate Programmes). She has been the Master of Nursing programme director since 2015, this programme is the only nursing master which provides training for Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs) in Singapore. Being a registered neuroscience APN, she continues her clinical practice with Singapore National Neuroscience Institute (NNI) with a joint appointment. She spearheaded the multiple curriculum revisions for the Master of Nursing programme and initiated the Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs) development for APN training. She is one of the key personals who contributed significantly for the national collaborative prescribing programme (NCPP) in Singapore from the conceptual mapping, implementation and evaluation. Associate Professor Zhou serves as the Co-chair of International Council of Nursing Nurse Practitioner and Advanced Practice Nurses (ICP NP/APN) research subgroup and actively involved in various APN development activities both locally and globally. She is also serving as the President of Sigma Upsilon Eta Chapter, an international honour society of nurses, to advocate Singapore nursing leadership development. Associate Professor Zhou is very passionate in advancing nursing professionalism and leadership and believes that quality nursing is key in patient care and wellness. She consistently applies the principles of health promotion, disease prevention, early rehabilitation, and holistic care in her clinical practice and teaching.
