The Graduate Certificate in Critical Care Nursing is designed to provide healthcare professionals with the specialised knowledge and skills to manage critically ill patients in various critical settings effectively. This programme emphasises evidence-based practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the latest critical care medicine and nursing advancements.
This programme is offered on a part-time work-study mode. The minimum and normal candidature period is over three (3) semesters, 1 year and the maximum candidature is 2 years.
The programme aims to deepen the critical care competencies (clinical, technical, and interpersonal) adopting a work-study approach. The curriculum aligns with the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) Essentials.

The Graduate Certificate in Critical Care Nursing offers a 12-unit programme in a part-time work-study mode on a NUS semester academic calendar.
Learners who exit before completing the entire graduate certificate will be awarded a certificate for their completed course. After completing the course assessment requirements, learners would receive a Certificate of Competence (C grade) or Certificate of Participation (D+ grade). These course unit credits may be used to stack up to a Graduate Diploma or Master’s in future.

Applicants are required to register for each of the modular courses singularly.
There are two consecutive mini semesters in each regular semester. The first mini-semester (Mini-semester A) comprises 6 weeks of instruction, 1-week break (Reading Week) and 1 week of examinations.
The second mini-semester (Mini-Semester B) comprises 6 weeks of instruction, 1-week break (Reading Week) and 2 weeks of examinations (which is the same period as the end-of-semester examinations).
