Admission Requirements

To be eligible to apply for admission to the Master of Science (Critical Care Nursing), applicants need to present one of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing with a minimum GPA of 3.00.
  • Candidates with other qualifications and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis, subjected to approval.
  • As the medium of instruction is English, applicants whose native tongue and medium of University instruction is not English must complete the Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 85 (internet-based test) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum score of 6 
  • Applicants who have completed an Advanced Diploma in Critical Care Nursing (NP or NYP) or the NUH Critical Care Programme within the last eight (8) years (prior to the date of admission to the University) and have successfully passed the placement test will be granted credits for NUR5721 Foundations of Critical Care Nursing, NUR5722 Multisystem Nursing Practice I and NUR5723 Multisystem Nursing Practice II.
