Tuition fees applicable to students admitted in AY2025/2026 are to be advised.

The 2024 tuition fees below are applicable to students admitted in AY2024/2025:

Note: The per annum fee amount covering Semesters 1 and 2 of an academic year is payable in two equal instalments at the start of each semester. Semestral fees are payable as long as a student’s candidature remains active. The tuition fees payable beyond the normal candidature period can be found here. Financial Schemes

The University is committed to providing a quality education for all our students and to ensuring that no deserving student is denied admissions because of financial difficulty.

Needy students can apply for financial aid which will be offered if they meet the eligibility criteria. Financial aid will be in the form of a financial aid package which may comprise a combination of loans, bursary, and work-study assistance. Students who are in need of financial assistance should approach the Office of Admissions, which oversees matters pertaining to student financial aid.

For AY2024/2025, there will be financial aid available for Singapore Permanent Residents and international students to apply. More information will be provided to students in due time.

Eligibility

  1. The Ministry of Education (MOE) provides eligible Singaporeans (SC) and Singapore Permanent Residents (SPR) taking part-time undergraduate degree programmes in the local universities with a substantial tuition fee subsidy.
  2. In addition to fulfilling the nationality criteria, applicants must also satisfy the following subsidy eligibility criteria in order to be considered for admission:
    1. Must not have previously received a government subsidy/sponsorship for a completed first degree; these include first degrees from NUS/NTU/SMU/SUTD/SIT/SUSS, or from an overseas university funded by government scholarship/bursary;
    2. Be at least 21 years old; and
    3. Must fulfil one of the following work experience criteria:
      • 2 years of full-time work experience; OR
      • have fully discharged National Service (NS)liability; OR
      • currently employed on a full-time basis

4. The following categories of applicants are granted exemptions from the age and work experience eligibility criteria:

          • Applicants sponsored by their company for the part-time undergraduate degree programme; and 
          • Applicants who are currently employed in a job role/sector related to the part-time undergraduate degree programme.

      Only tuition fees for courses registered will be subsidised. All other fees – which include Admission Application Fee, Administrative Fee, Student Service Fee and Late Fee – will not be subsidised.

      If you were previously enrolled in a degree course in a local university and now offered admission to a part-time degree, you will need to make a full declaration when you do your registration online. Please request the following details from the university to accompany your declaration and email these details to NURBOX15@NUS.EDU.SG:

      1. Name
      2. NRIC
      3. Programme enrolled
      4. Date of admission
      5. Date of withdrawal/dismissal/graduation
      6. No. of modular units/credits required to graduate (inclusive of exemption upon admission)
      7. No. of modular units/credits granted as exemption upon admission
      8. No. of modular units/credits eligible to enjoy TFS at start of Programme (for Programme & buffer for failed and repeat courses)
      9. No. of modular units/credits consumed so far (for Programme & buffer for failed and repeat courses)

      SSG Credits is applicable for Part Time Bachelor of Science (Nursing Practice) Programme. Please refer to SSG website for more information.

      A Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR) full-time employee who works for more than 35 hours a week under a contract of service with an employer would meet one of the criteria set out by MOE.

      Scholarships Offered by NUS Nursing

      Donated by Mr and Mrs Sanjay Kirpalani, the scholarships are awarded in 2021 and 2024 to academically outstanding Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Resident students pursuing the Bachelor of Science (Nursing Practice) and will support their tuition fee in full. Awarding of this scholarship is by invitation only.

      The scholarships are awarded to financially needy Singapore Citizens undergraduates at NUS Nursing who excel academically. Two or more awards will be awarded each academic year. Awarding of this scholarship is by invitation only.

      Bursaries Offered by NUS Nursing

      The Chan-Tan Family Nursing Bursary was established by an NUS alumni in 2020 to support needy Nursing undergraduates at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. The donors set up this bursary in order to show their appreciation to healthcare frontliners during the pandemic. At least one bursary will be awarded each year. The amount of the bursary is subject to fund availability.

      The Bursary shall be used to aid financially needy Singaporean part-time undergraduates in NUS Nursing. At least one bursary will be awarded, subject to the fund’s balance.

      The fund is donated by the general public to help the needy nursing students. Applicants can be of any nationality.

      The bursary was established in 2021 by TAK Products and Services to help the underprivileged Singapore Citizens undergraduates nursing students. At least one bursary will be awarded, subject to the fund’s balance.
