She served: Here’s how this NUS Nursing student received the prestigious Toh Chin Chye Prize for outstanding community service

18 December 2024

We are proud to announce that NUS Nursing second-year student, Chin Wang Qing, Felicia, has been awarded the esteemed Toh Chin Chye Prize for her outstanding achievements in community service and extracurricular leadership.

The Toh Chin Chye Prize is a prestigious annual award given to a first-year student who exemplifies excellence in their commitment to serving the community.

Felicia’s contributions in her first year extended far beyond the classroom. A passionate volunteer, she made a far-reaching impact in a multitude of initiatives. From leading local volunteer groups, to organising events for fellow nursing students, to building a library for a village community in Vietnam—Felicia consistently exemplified leadership and compassion, all the while achieving stellar grades in equal commitment to her studies.

At NUS Nursing, we take immense pride in nurturing students like Felicia, who are not only dedicated to their academic pursuits but are also shaping the future of nursing through their selfless dedication to the community. Congratulations Felicia!
