Healthcare systems of today extend beyond the prevention and treatment of illness and injury, towards the focus on production of individuals’ and population’s health and well-being. Antonovsky’s salutogenic model gives credence to the complexity of human health and strives an adaptive balance between health production and medical care provision. Salutogenesis emphasizes the creation of health and can contribute to person-centred and preventive healthcare. An area to initiate this ambitious movement is to promote salutogenic capacity among current and future healthcare workers, with the aim to integrating salutogenic-based care practices in community-based health delivery. This webinar aims to simulate discussions on current and future directions of integrating salutogenesis into the curriculum of healthcare students and practice of healthcare professionals for health promotion in community-based care.
