‘Special drink’ in gestational diabetes study

A local study called NiPPeR plans to help women before they conceive and throughout their pregnancy to maintain healthy sugar levels with a special drink containing myo-inosito. Researchers hopes the formula may potentially prevent pregnant women from developing gestational diabetes and lower the risk of their babies becoming obese or diabetic later in life.
