Positive signs amidst the COVID-19 outbreak

When will we see the light at the end of the tunnel with the current COVID-19 situation?

Infectious disease expert Professor Paul Tambyah from the Department of Medicine speaks with CNBC International and shares some positive signs amidst the coronavirus outbreak.

Prof Tambyah highlights that researchers in Singapore have found a mutation in the coronavirus which suggests that it is becoming less virulent — a common trait among many other viruses.

He added that research has shown that the COVID-19 virus behaves very similarly to the SARS virus which is sensitive to the temperature and humidity. This mean that when the temperate parts of the world start to warm up, the situation might improve.
