Published: 30 Mar 2020

After a tragic loss at the age of 12, Dr Felicia Tan knew that she wanted to be in the profession of saving lives. Her journey to becoming a doctor was definitely not an easy one but the NUS Medicine alumna was determined and persevered against all odds.

Today, she is a surgeon who goes on several medical missions a year and conducts annual cancer checks for the Dalai Lama’s monks.

“I feel I benefit the most, not the people we help. The high you get is something you cannot get anywhere else.” – Dr Felicia Tan
