Associate Professor Shefaly Shorey from the Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS Medicine) was recently awarded the Elizabeth McWilliams Miller Award for Excellence in Research at the Sigma 2025 International Awards for Nursing Excellence during Sigma’s 48th Biennial Convention on 8 November 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA.
The Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (Sigma) 2025 International Awards celebrate individuals who embody Sigma’s mission to transform global healthcare. Sigma’s International Awards for Nursing Excellence recognises outstanding contributions in service, leadership, research, education, innovation, and practice.
Assoc Prof Shorey, who is also Vice-Dean (Administration) at NUS Medicine, is the only awardee from Asia under the Founders Award category. Her innovative work in digital health and parental support research continues to shape the future of Nursing and improving healthcare outcomes worldwide.
