In 2014, Associate Professor Philip Iau and Associate Professor Mikael Hartman from the breast cancer team at NUH set off on a motorcycle from Singapore to Stockholm over 100 days. It was a ride with a cause to meet breast cancer patients across different Asian countries and understand how cultural factors shape attitudes to the disease. Associate Professor Philip Iau penned the unforgettable journey of fear, courage, growth, acceptance and wisdom in the Long Ride.
