Speakers: Dr Sajini Mary Varughese, Consultant, General Ambulatory Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine Division, Department of Paediatrics, NUHS

Most people are acquainted with teenagers, either through their family lives of the work that they do. Often, basic activities such as sleeping, eating, going to school, engaging with friends and family, are taken for granted. However, for some teenagers, performing these activities can be quite problematic. The speaker will share real-life examples on some of the biopsychosocial reasons behind the spectrum of adolescent behaviours. The talk will also shed insight on ways to help this ‘misunderstood’ and ‘underserved’ population navigate their teenage years.

Registration & breakfast at 7.10am, talk begins at 7.40am.
