Speaker: Assistant Professor Ngiam Kee Yuan, Department of Surgery, NUS Medicine

A rapidly ageing population, the burden of chronic diseases, increasing healthcare costs and a shrinking workforce: these pervasive problems plague many developed nations and put pressure on their communities and healthcare providers. Using high volume electronic medical data, clinical data curation and advanced analytics, it is possible now to develop automated algorithm that enhance safety and optimise the use of existing resources. Combined with genomic information, predictive analytics may provide further individualised recommendations on treatments and outcomes. This talk will showcase the applications of predictive analytics in clinical practice at NUH and its implications in the age of personalised medicine.

Registration & Breakfast at 7.10am, talk begins at 7.40am.
