The Master of Philosophy in Population Health Sciences is offered by the University of Cambridge

The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Population Health Sciences is a part-time (1 year) postgraduate degree programme that begins in September/October of each Academic Year at the University of Cambridge. The MPhil equips students with the knowledge across the various academic disciplines of Epidemiology, Global Health, Health Data Science, Infectious Diseases, Primary Care Research and Public Health and, help students build on their prior knowledge especially in health data literacy from Health Informatics Pathway and the data/digital literacy pillars as well as primary care from Family Medicine posting. Additionally, it also aid students to receive basic training in the core research methods used in the related academic disciplines of epidemiology, global health, health data science, infectious diseases, public health, and primary care research, and will then be given the opportunity to further specialize in their chosen area of interest.

Award of the Degrees

  • Students must satisfy all the graduation requirements of the MPhil. 
  • Upon the completion of the IYP and their MBBS studies, students will receive two-degree scrolls, one for the MBBS, and the other for the MPhil programme upon fulfilling the requirements of both degree programmes.
