Programme Highlights
Organised by the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Division of Graduate Medical Studies and the Department of Ophthalmology,this course aims to equip optometrists with essential knowledge and skills in the areas of paediatric refraction and myopia management.
You will learn to describe visual development in children and their expected refractive power based on age, develop effective communication skills while examing paediatric patients and advising parents on their children’s myopia management, understand the important indicators of myopia progression and evaluate refractive error in children using cycloplegic refraction with real patients.
The course training includes three online Zoom lectures and two hands-on workshops.
Learners may choose to attend all 5 sessions or only the online lectures (Sessions 1, 3 & 4).
Accredited by Optometrists & Opticians Board (16 CPE Points*)
*Participants who attend only the lecture webinars will be awarded 6 CPE points.
