Programme Highlights

Organised by the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Centre for Healthcare Simulation, this two-day course is designed to be interactive – consisting of short didactic sessions and hands-on practice of the essential skills needed for simulation-based healthcare education. This course is aimed at faculty who are interested in using simulation methodologies to enhance their curriculum.

Participants will work in groups to run their simulation scenarios, discuss the common pitfalls encountered and receive feedback on these sessions. They will also have an opportunity to share their experiences and exchange ideas on integrating simulation-based learning into their existing curricula.

Pre-Requisites and Assessment

Healthcare education background.

Assessment components include participation and group work.

Awards and Certification

All participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance. In addition, the following accreditation points are awarded:

  • CME points accredited by the Singapore Medical Council (SMC)
  • CPE points accredited by the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB)

1) All self-sponsored Singaporean aged 25 and above can use their SkillsFuture Credit to pay for the course fee.

2) Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy (MCES): Singaporeans aged 40 and above may enjoy subsidies up to 90% of the course fee.

3) Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS): SME-sponsored employees (Singapore Citizens and PRs) may enjoy subsidies up to 90% of the course fee.

4) Learners must pass all assessment components to successfully complete the course and receive a Certificate of Attendance. Learners may have to bear the full course fee if they fail to meet this requirement.
