Strengthen Bonds & Build Partnerships – One Touchpoint at a Time
Programme Highlights
“Brazelton Touchpoints is a practical approach for building strong family-child relationships from birth through the earliest years, laying the foundation for children’s early learning and healthy development. Research and experience have shown that simply ‘telling’ parents what to do is not effective. Touchpoints is a model of practice that enables providers (including caregivers and educators) to establish collaborative and encouraging relationships with families based on a shared interest in the healthy development of their child.
Touchpoints provides for transformation through:
1) Changing practice from prescription to collaboration
2) Building capacity within communities through engagement and promoting strengths within families.
Part 1: 3 Day Workshop (04, 11 and 25 April 2025- Time & Venue TBA)
- Scenario-based practice sessions and group work facilitated by Touchpoints National Trainers
- Perspective-taking activities at key points in development from the prenatal period to age 6
Part 2: 6 Online Mentoring Sessions (Dates TBC)
- Mentoring through 6 x 1 hour reflective practice sessions via teleconferencing that reinforces the strategies and tools learned
