Programme Highlights
Jointly organised by the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Division of Graduate Medical Studies and the Osteoporosis Society Singapore, this advanced course will teach technologists and radiographers how to accurately perform and interpret DXA Bone Mineral Density (BMD) scans. This course is based on the Osteoporosis Essentials Course (Technologist Course) which was jointly developed by the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) and the International Society For Clinical Densitometry (ISCD). The knowledge and skills gained from this course enable learners to provide better quality care too steoporosis patients.

Pre-Requisites and Assessment
Learners must possess either a BSc (Diagnostic Radiography and Imaging), Specialist Diploma in Radiology Nursing, or their equivalent. The assessment will be administered by International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) and International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD). Learners will need to register with IOF and ISCD separately at a later time. More details will be shared closer to the course date.
Learners must record at least 75% attendance and pass all assessment components to successfully complete the course and receive a Certificate of Participation.
Awards and Certification
All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation. In addition, CPD points accredited by the Singapore Society of Radiographers are awarded.

1) All self-sponsored Singaporean aged 25 and above can use their SkillsFuture Credit to pay for the course fee.
2) Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy (MCES): Singaporeans aged 40 and above may enjoy subsidies up to 90% of the course fee.
