Tan Chorh Chuan

Class of 1983

Professor Tan Chorh Chuan is Singapore’s first Chief Health Scientist (MOH), a role he assumed in the Ministry of Health in 2018. He is also the Chairman of the Human Health and Potential Executive Committee which oversees the health and biomedical sciences research, innovation and enterprise sector in Singapore. Prof Tan is the founding Executive Director of the MOH Office for Healthcare Transformation and the Chairman of the Committee of Government Scientific Advisors.

Dr Aaron Chua

Class of 2013

Major (Dr) Aaron Chua (Class of 2013) is the ingenious creator of a telemedicine platform that enabled medical staff to conduct telemedicine consultations for COVID-19 positive patients recuperating in the Community Recovery Facilities. He is currently leading the development of SAF Soldier Health, a one-stop mobile healthcare app for MINDEF & the SAF.

Kanwaljit Soin

Class of 1966

First female orthopaedic & hand surgeon in Singapore and also first the female Nominated Member of Parliament. Founding President of WINGS – “Women’s Initiative for Ageing Successfully” and Founder Member of AWARE. Author of book “Silver Shades of Grey – Memos for Successful Ageing in the 21st Century” published in 2018.
