Published: 16 Aug 2024

Our newest cohort of medical students from the Class of 2029 was warmly introduced to faculty and fellow classmates at the traditional NUS Medicine Welcome Dinner on 3 August 2024. Following which, they made solemn oaths to commit to the demands and standards upheld by medical profession as they received their white coats, on 8 August 2024.

Here are the highlights for both the Welcome Dinner and White Coat Ceremony:

White Coat Ceremony

Our incoming students of the Class of 2029 received their white coats from NUS Medicine faculty members. This symbolises the students’ taking on the mantle and values of their medical training to become future doctors.

This year, Dr Jeremy Lim, Public Health Specialist, Co-Founder and CEO of AMILI HEALTH, graced the event as Guest-of-Honour.

Our new medical students took the Hippocratic Oath, as a pledge of their commitment to the values of the medical profession.

Wishing them all the best in your medical school journey!
