Finding joy and a new world view in helping Afghan refugees

18 years ago, NUS Medicine alumnus Dr Wee Teck Young from the Class of 1993 left the comfort of his home and gave up medical practice in Singapore to do humanitarian work in Pakistan, and then in war-torn Afghanistan.

Since then, he has received many humbling lessons from the Afghans which changed his life as well as his perspectives on relationships, success and world issues.
