The 8th Clinical Ethics Conference — Mental Health: Challenges in Clinical Ethics is a collaboration between the mental health clinicians from various local institutions and CENTRES and aims to train clinical ethics committee (CEC) members, CEC administrators, and healthcare practitioners working with vulnerable populations on best practices and processes in clinical ethics. The Conference will be a platform where participants can discuss, share, and learn from one another on the challenges of caring for individuals with mental health issues, focusing on mental capacity assessment and autonomy, confidentiality and duty to report and vulnerable populations and their rights.

This conference will explore ways in which CEC members and administrators, healthcare practitioners, and other stakeholders could ensure adequate protections for vulnerable populations (the elderly, children and mental health), balancing their right to decide with duty of care.
