The Neonatal Resusciation Course is targeted towards health care personnel dealing with newborns. It aims to equip the participants with evidence based knowledge and appropriate skill sets to perform optimally both at an individual level as well as part of a team while resuscitating a newborn. Newborns differ from infants in terms of their size and physiology; the disease processes affecting them are unique. Therefore newborn resuscitation not only has conceptual differences from resuscitation of infants and children, it also has several unique features. These are not addressed in adult and pediatric life support modules.
