Speaker: Professor Bernard Lanskey, Dean, Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, NUS

A pianist, chamber music coach, festival director and recording producer, Prof Bernard Lanskey is no stranger to many of us. We are thrilled to welcome him back for a second time to take us on a journey of discovery through one of Mozart’s most daring and original pieces – Fantasy in C Minor, K475! Having lived with this piece now for longer than Mozart himself was alive, Prof Lanskey will share how he feels it offers evidence of the psychology of the creative state, how our experience of the piece changes with the passing of time, and what it might reveal to us about the nature of artistic communication. The presentation aims to help you listen with fresh ears and discover how to be engaged more intensively with each passing moment. This promises to be a morning of inspirational music and a good start into the festive seasion, so come and join us!

Registration & breakfast at 7.10am, talk begins at 7.40am.
