Executive Certificate in Healthcare Improvement via Informatics

Programme Highlights

In order to meet the growing healthcare needs of Singapore and equip healthcare professionals with future-ready skills, NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine is offering bite-sized, credit-bearing courses which enables participants to gain valuable knowledge and skills in the areas of informatics, quality improvement, value driven outcomes and optimization of electronic medical records system.

The content in these SSG-approved courses are contextualised based on Singapore’s healthcare system to develop a more productive healthcare workforce. Healthcare professionals will greatly benefit by gaining new skills, expanding on their existing competencies, improving current processes in their respective job roles/domains and delivering better care for patients.

Who Should Attend 

Healthcare professionals, managers and educators who are existing employees of a healthcare institution, a community healthcare provider, or working in a healthcare setting.

Course Structure 

  • Participants who complete the following 4 courses will receive an ‘Executive Certificate in Healthcare Improvement’.
  • The maximum candidature period for the Executive Certificate programme is 24 months.

  • Participants will have to sign up for the individual courses under the ‘Executive Certificate in Healthcare Improvement’ in the NUS Online Application Portal. 

Registration for Semester 1 AY24/25 will open on 6 May 2024.

Minimum Entry Requirements

  • An existing employee of a healthcare institution, a community healthcare provider, or working in a healthcare setting
  • Fulfil the requirements of each course accordingly. Please refer to the pre-requisites for each course.

Mode of Training

The courses will be delivered online or in-person. Training will be conducted in the form of lecture, tutorials and case discussions.
