Speaker: Dr Wu Ya Jun, Department of Anatomy, NUS Medicine

Aging results in changes in the bones, muscles and joints of the human body. People lose bone mass or density as they age, especially women after menopause. The bones lose calcium and other minerals, thereby affecting posture and gait, leading to body weakness and slower movements. Fractures from osteoporosis are a leading cause of disability. Health Champions from NUS Medicine, as well as the NUS Staff Club, bring you an hour of TCM Health talk to promote bone health and a healthy lifestyle.
