Advanced skills help patients resist diseases

Advanced Practice Nurse Dr Lee Yee Mei, who teaches at the Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies at NUS Medicine, is one of the recipients of the President’s Award for Nurses in 2017. Dr Lee, who is also the Assistant Director of Nursing at the National University Hospital, and the Head of Nursing at the National University Cancer Institute Singapore, is the first senior nurse clinician to perform bone marrow extraction in Singapore.
