Choose breastfeeding over milk powder

NUH has been accredited with the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) status as it adopts practices to encourage families to breastfeed and rely less on infant milk powder. Dr Yvonne Ng from the Department of Paediatrics at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine shares how NUH encourages mothers to breastfeed and use pre-sterilised formula in cases where they cannot produce enough milk for their infants.
