- As large numbers of candidates are expected, all candidates are advised to keep their availability for the entire day.

- NUS Centre for Teaching, Learning and Technology (CTLT) has scheduled common briefings for all NUS students on Examplify. Candidates are strongly advised to attend one of the briefing sessions if they are new or have/had problems with Examplify. Details on the common briefings that have been scheduled may be found on NUS CTLT’s website here.
- Please note that an NUS account is required to attend the common briefing sessions. As such, candidates will only be able to participate in the briefings scheduled for March/April, once their NUS account has been set up.

The examination will be administered via Examplify, a digital examination software. You are required to bring your own LAPTOP or IPAD and CHARGER to the examination. Please click here for the minimum system requirement for Examplify.

The following groups of applicants will be eligible for the FM AKT:
- In-training GDFM trainees
- GDFM trainees who have completed their training
- Trainees undergoing the GDFM refresher course before re-entry into MMed FM College Programme
- In-training FM residents
- Residents who have completed their training
- In-training MMed FM College Programme trainees
- MMed FM College Programme trainees who have completed their training
Candidates who exit their training programme before completion of training and before the FM AKT will not be allowed to sit the FM AKT.
Applicants are required to submit an online application via DGMSÂ Online System for Course Applications (OSCA) by the stipulated closing date. A completed application would have fulfilled the following:
- All required fields are accurately filled, and all supporting documents are uploaded into the system
- The non-refundable application fee payment is successful and supported by Tax Invoice (also known as the receipt), which is downloadable from the system
The following documents must be uploaded in OSCA by the closing date:
- Recent passport-sized photograph (image has to be 400 by 514 pixels)
- Certified true copy / scanned coloured copy of the following documents (Official English translations will be required for stamps or certificates sent that are not in English):
- Identification documents:
- NRIC: for locals / Permanent Residents
- Employment Pass and Passport: for foreigners (residing in Singapore)
- Recognised basic medical degree
- Identification documents:
Photocopies of certificates and/or official translations (in English)#Â including any other official supporting documents will be accepted only if they have been prepared and/or authenticated by one of the following:
- Issuing University of Medical School;
- Medical Council of which you are registered and licensed to practice;
- Ministry of Health, Singapore;
- Notary public or Justice of the Peace;
- Division of Graduate Medical Studies (DGMS) - For authentication by DGMS office, original certificates and documents must be produced.
# Applicants must submit an authenticated translation if their official supporting documents are not in English. A fresh ink stamp must be used to authenticate the copy or translation of the primary medical qualification.
Applicants who fail to present their original documents for verification without acceptable reasons will not be admitted to the examination.
Applicants whose original documents have been damaged or misplaced must apply to the relevant organisations / authorities for replacements or letters of verification.
An applicant is only allowed to enrol concurrently in another programme offered by NUS or another University only if granted approval from the Vice Dean of Faculty and the Head of Department. The Degree Programme refers to any programme (including examination-only programmes) which leads to NUS Degree conferment.
Successful applicants will be notified via email to accept the placement and make the Examination/Programme fee payment via the application portal. Placement will be confirmed only after payment receipt. The Division of Graduate Medical Studies (DGMS) is not obliged to provide any reasons for unsuccessful applications.

- Lack of preparedness or readiness for the Examination/Programme for which the candidate/student has enrolled.
- Failure to arrange time away from work.
- Inability to secure a visa or other travel documents required to attend the Examination/Programme.

- For CFPS MMed Trainees - No more than three (3) years (36 months) after completion of the training programme, as stated in the end-of-training letter.
- For Residents – within the candidature period, which includes the completion of both training and passing the requisite examinations.
All applicants applying for the examination MUST have:
- SMC Practising Certificate (valid throughout the examination)
- Undergone and satisfied the training and posting requirements of the programs offered by the respective training providers
- Valid End-of-Training Letter/ Exit certification form issued by NHG, NUHS, SHS or CFPS (for Master of Medicine (MMed) College Programme)
- Audit Project endorsed by Program Director and supervisors
- BCLS certificate (valid throughout the examination)

A successfully completed online application does not indicate a successful placement or admission into the examination. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. Hardcopy and email applications will not be accepted.

This course aims to prepare doctors for the Master of Medicine (Family Medicine) Examination, by exposing course participants to a focused training in a primary care setting, including care for the child, the adolescent, adult patients, and the elderly.
This course^ comprises interactive lectures as well as practical sessions involving X-rays interpretations, ECGs readings, consultation case discussions, and clinical slides session using Examplify.
^Topics/Format/Timetable are subjected to changes due to availabilities of lecturers and tutors.
CME points will be awarded to successfully enrolled students who attend the MMed (FM) course sessions. The number of points to be awarded will be subjected to the discretion of SMC.
