Format of Examination
  • The assessment contains 100 single-best answer questions and is a secure paper.
  • The time limit is 2 hours.
  • The examination will be administered via Examplify, a digital examination software. All candidates are required to bring their LAPTOP and CHARGER to the examination. Please click here for the minimum system requirement for Examplify.
Eligibility Criteria

All applicants must be nominated by their institution and must have completed the institution’s training for Respiratory Medicine. Applicants must be deemed suitable by their institution to appear for the MCQ Exam.

All applicants must submit their application via their institutions.

For institution representatives, please complete and submit the registration form via email to Mr Arthur Lim and Ms Teo Xin Yi at altm@nus.edu.sg and teoxinyi@nus.edu.sg. Please note that the forms will have to be submitted within the application period.

Withdrawal Policy

The institution representatives must contact the respective Officer-in-Charge (OIC) as soon as they know that their candidates are unable to sit for the examination enrolled. Request to withdraw from the examination must be made in writing. Emails are acceptable.

Institution representatives and candidates who notify the Division that they are unable to attend the examination on or after the examination dates must request a waiver of fees, at least 14 days from the day of the examination and provide supporting evidence where appropriate. The Division will generally consider providing refunds to candidates on the following circumstances

The Division will generally consider providing refunds to candidates under the following circumstances:

  1. Illness - Refund request must be accompanied by a medical certificate.
  2. Pregnancy – Refund request must be accompanied a by medical report.
  3. Involvement in an accident, e.g. victim of crime, accident or disaster – Refund request must be supported by evidence such as a medical report and/or police report.
  4. Bereavement in the immediate family – This normally refers to the loss of parent, grandparent, sibling, spouse or child and must be supported by relevant documents such as a death certificate, proof of the relationship, etc.

All refunds granted will be subject to 10% administrative charges capped at $500.00.

Requests for refund under the following reasons will not be entertained:

  1. Lack of preparedness or readiness for the examination for which the student has enrolled.
  2. Failure to arrange time away from work.
  3. Inability to secure a visa or other travel documents required to attend the examination.
