For all 2026 sittings for the Joint Master of Medicine (Diagnostic Radiology) / FRCR Part 2B exam, we will only be accepting applications from Singapore-based candidates. A successful application does not guarantee placement into the examination.

The exam comprises of two written assessments at 111 Somerset and two Oral stations (each with a pair of examiners and 30 minutes duration).Â
The written examination will be delivered on a digital platform. Candidates should familiarise themselves with the platform via The Royal College of Radiologists website by accessing it here prior to the exam.Â
The Oral stations will be conducted in a hybrid mode where candidates and examiners would be present on-site communicating via video conference.Â
Candidates would be examined by a pair of examiners and the examination content will be displayed via the video conferencing platform. Candidates will have access to functions for manipulating the displayed images. After the first 30 minutes, candidates will move on and complete the second 30-minute session of the Oral examination with a different pair of examiners.
Applicants are required to apply for both the Final MMed (Diag Rad) and Final FRCR Part B exam.
All applicants must:Â Â
- Have completed 34 months of Clinical Radiology Training Â
- Have passed the FRCR 2A ExaminationÂ
- All applicants must apply for both Final MMed (Diag Rad) Exam and FRCR Part B Exam. Priority will be given to eligible applicants who are in the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Training Programme in Singapore, followed by applicants who are currently working in Singapore, and lastly overseas applicants.
Applicants should ensure to read the RCR examination regulation.
Separate online applications are required for the respective examination(s):Â
- Final MMed (Diag Rad) Examination: Applicants are required to submit an online application via Graduate Admission System (GDA3) by the stipulated closing date. A step-by-step guide to applying online can be found here.Â
- Final FRCR Part B Examination: Applicants with confirmed MMed (Diag Rad) placement will be notified via email at a later date to submit their application and examination fee.Â
A completed application would have fulfilled the following:
- All required fields are accurately filled, and all supporting documents are uploaded into the system.
- The non-refundable application fee payment is successful and supported by Tax Invoice (also known as the receipt), which is downloadable from the system.
The following documents must be submitted together with your application:
- Recent passport-sized photograph (image has to be 400 by 514 pixels)
- Certified true copy / scanned coloured copy of the following documents (Official English translations will be required for stamps or certificates sent that are not in English):
- FRCR Part 2A result letterÂ
- Confirmatory Letter from Training Supervisor
- Recognised basic medical degreeÂ
- Identification documents:
- NRIC: for locals / permanent residents
- Employment Pass and Passport: for foreigners (residing in Singapore)
- Passport: for foreigners residing outside Singapore
Photocopies of certificates and/or official translations (in English)#Â including any other official supporting documents will be accepted only if they have been prepared and/or authenticated by one of the following:
- Issuing University of Medical School;
- Medical Council of which you are registered and licensed to practice;
- Ministry of Health, Singapore;
- Notary public or Justice of the Peace;
- Division of Graduate Medical Studies (DGMS) - For authentication by DGMS office, original certificates and documents must be produced.
# Applicants must submit an authenticated translation if their official supporting documents are not in English. A fresh ink stamp must be used to authenticate the copy or translation of the primary medical qualification.
Applicants who fail to present their original documents for verification without acceptable reasons will not be admitted to the examination.
Applicants whose original documents have been damaged or misplaced must apply to the relevant organisations / authorities for replacements or letters of verification.
An applicant is only allowed to enrol concurrently in another programme offered by NUS or another University only if granted approval from the Vice Dean of Faculty and the Head of Department. The Degree Programme refers to any programme (including examination-only programmes) which leads to NUS Degree conferment.
Successful applicants will be notified via email to accept the placement and make the Examination/Programme fee payment via the application portal. Placement will be confirmed only after payment receipt. The Division of Graduate Medical Studies (DGMS) is not obliged to provide any reasons for unsuccessful applications.

Notes:
- All fees listed are in Singapore Dollars, including the prevailing Goods and Services Tax (GST) rate unless stated otherwise.
- *The Application fee is non-refundable and must be paid at the time of application.

- DGMS reserves all rights to review and adjust fees as necessary and accordingly without prior notice.

- Supporting documents must be submitted via email in all cases after submission of the online request.
- The Division will generally consider providing refunds to candidates under the following circumstances:
- Medical – Refund request must be accompanied by a medical certificate.
- Pregnancy – Refund request must be accompanied by a medical report.
- Involvement in an accident, e.g. victim of crime, accident or disaster – Refund request must be supported by evidence such as a medical report and/or police report.
- Compassionate grounds - Bereavement in the immediate family refers to the loss of parent(s), grandparent, sibling, spouse, or child and must be supported by relevant documents such as a death certificate, proof of the relationship, etc.
- Requests for refund under the following reasons will not be considered:
- Lack of preparedness or readiness for the Examination/Programme for which the candidate/student has enrolled.
- Failure to arrange time away from work.
- Inability to secure a visa or other travel documents required to attend the Examination/Programme.

Master of Medicine (Diagnostic Radiology) Course
COURSE DATES

This 2-day short course is modelled after the Final MMed(Diag Rad) / Final FRCR Part B Examination and aims to equip learners with the necessary skills to interpret and report radiological findings from multiple imaging modalities such as X-rays, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, nuclear medicine and angiography.
The course will include:
- lectures on breast imaging and nuclear medicine; and
- hands-on practise sessions for Long Case, Short Case and mock oral exams.
The mock exam consists of written assessments and Oral stations:
- Written Assessments: Includes both long and short cases, delivered via a digital platform that mirrors the actual exam system.
- Oral Stations: Conducted in a hybrid format with candidates and examiners on-site, interacting through video conferencing. Each session lasts 30 minutes and is assessed by a pair of examiners. Candidates can manipulate displayed images using the platform’s tools.
- Hold a recognised basic medical degree. Â
- Have passed the FRCR 2A Exam.
Applicants are required to submit an online application via DGMSÂ Online System for Course Applications (OSCA) by the closing date as stipulated above. A completed application would have fulfilled the following:

- Employment Pass and Passport: for foreigners residing in Singapore
- Recognised basic medical degree
- Valid practising certificate from SMC Â
