Candidature

All candidates must fulfil a minimum period of residence in Singapore during their candidature. In addition, all candidates must be resident during the semester in which they submit their thesis for examination.

Residency Requirements

All candidates must spend a minimum period of residence in Singapore as follows:

MSc(Nursing) 6 months Full-time: 36 months
  1. Payment of fees.
  2. Satisfying all curricular requirements of the programme of study.
  3. Satisfying other departmental requirements such as teaching assistance.
  4. MSc (Nursing) and PhD candidates must be resident during the semester in which they submit their thesis for examination.

Periods of study leave and overseas fieldwork do not count toward residency.

Q: Am I permitted to pursue another degree concurrently?

A: Concurrent Degrees & External Courses

Unless approval is granted by the University, no student may concurrently be a candidate for more than one degree programme or register as a candidate of NUS and of another university or institute.

Students who wish to pursue external courses must seek the approval of their Thesis
Advisors and Head of Department before they enrol for the courses.

Students who enrol for another degree programme or attend external courses without the approval of the University may be subject to disciplinary action by the School.
