Lubna Shah is a lecturer at the Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Her teaching topics range from communication and cultural diversity to nursing ethics, law and professional issues in practice. Shah has been a registered nurse for ten years and is actively involved in the clinical experiences of students as their clinical instructor and facilitator. Shah is also a student support manager in the department where she oversees the provision of psychological and emotional support to students.

Shah spent most of her clinical years in the mental health setting where she nursed individuals with a wide range of mental disorders. As a counsellor by training, Shah has also served as an adjunct lecturer at the Singapore Polytechnic in the Positive Psychology discipline. She has led several leadership positions in community health and public health care settings. At the Institute of Mental Health, Shah served as the chairman of the Nursing Clinical Practice Council as well as the Vice-chairman of the Nursing Research and Evidenced-based Practice Council. She is a strong advocate in advancing mental health care as part of holistic nursing.

Shah is passionate about advancing nursing education both locally and internationally. She believes that every student has the ability to reach their highest potential with the right guidance and support. Shah strives for every teaching experience to be an impactful and experiential learning moment for her students.
