Welcome to the NUHS Clinician-Scientist Academy!
At the NUHS Clinician-Scientist Academy, our mission is to foster an exciting research ecosystem for NUHS clinicians to push the boundaries of knowledge and drive forward innovative solutions to address some of the world’s most pressing healthcare challenges. As Head of the Academy, I am incredibly proud of the ground-breaking work our researchers in healthcare is undertaking across a diverse range of disciplines. Our Academy is a hub of intellectual curiosity, where leading experts and bright young minds come together to collaborate, innovate, and discover. We foster an environment that encourages interdisciplinary research, recognising that the most transformative advancements often arise at the intersection of different fields.
In recent years, our researchers have made significant strides in specific areas of RIE 2025. These achievements spanning precision medicine, digital health, translational research, ageing and chronic diseases, infectious diseases, health services research and biomedical science not only underscore our commitment to excellence but also highlight the real-world impact of our work.
A key component of our success is the robust network of partnerships we have established with researchers spanning 3 key areas: (1) translational & wet-bench research, (2) health-services & epidemiology and (3) innovation & technology. These span our NUHS academic institutions of NUS Medicine, Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health and Faculty of Dentistry. Together with our NUHS healthcare institutions of National University Hospital, Alexandra Hospital and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, our collaborations enhance our research capabilities and facilitate the translation of our research findings into practical health applications that benefit society. Additionally, we have strong partnerships across faculties in our very own backyard, the world-leading National University of Singapore.
Looking ahead, we remain dedicated to nurturing the next generation of clinician researchers and innovators. Our Academy offers a range of programs and opportunities designed to equip early-career clinician researchers with the skills and experience they need to thrive in their respective fields.
I invite you to explore our website to learn more about our ongoing initiatives, upcoming events, and the remarkable achievements of our researchers across our NUHS campuses. We are always excited to engage with new collaborators and supporters who share our passion for discovery science and clinical innovation.
Thank you for your interest in the NUHS CS Academy. We look forward to helping you in your research journey.
All the best,
