Dr Shaik Farid Abdull Wahab is currently a lecturer and emergency physician in Department of Emergency Medicine, School of Medical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia Health Campus, Kelantan, Malaysia. He obtained his medical degree and completed his Master of Medicine in Emergency Medicine from same university. He is actively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate teachings. He is a member of the medical school’s Phase 2 (Year 2 and Year 3 Undergraduate) committees, and has been appointed as Vetting Committee for Phase 2. He has been involved with WINFOCUS (World Interactive Network Focused on Critical Ultrasound) since 2010 and actively involved as facilitator and trainer for WINFOCUS group in Malaysia. Recently he has been appointed as coordinator for ultrasound teaching for undergraduates in Universiti Sains Malaysia. His interests are in ultrasound-based research and critical care.

Ducksun Ahn graduated from Korea University Medical College and received clinical training in Plastic Surgery at the University of Toronto. Upon his return to Korea, he created the Medical Education Department at Korea University Medical College. He also holds a Master’s degree in bioethics (Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium). As a former ECFMG fellow for international medical education at UCLA (University of California in Los Angeles), his main interest is in medical education. He is also the president of the Korean Society of Medical Education, the Association for Medical Education in the Western Pacific Region (AMEWPR), and the Korean Institute of Medical Education and Evaluation (accrediting body of Korea).

Previously Head of Assessment at Barts and the London, Queen Mary’s School of Medicine and Dentistry and Associate Dean for Assessment at the School of Clinical Medicine, University of Cambridge. Her research interests cover the assessment of clinical competence, professionalism and standard setting. She has published numerous papers on assessment and standard setting, including the booklet Structured Assessments of Clinical Competence. She advises nationally and internationally on the development and implementation of assessment in undergraduate and postgraduate medicine, dentistry and veterinary medicine. She is the Treasurer of the Association for the Study of Medical Education (ASME) and chairs the Board of Management of the journals Medical Education and The Clinical Teacher.

Dr. Chan is Chair Professor and Head, Department of Pathology, Queen Mary Hospital, Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine. He has a special interest in curriculum development, problem based learning in medicine and general education, and mindful practice. He is currently the Coordinator of a Task Force to implement the teaching and learning of medical humanities in the core undergraduate medical curriculum from 2012. He is the co-editor of a monograph “Everything you want to know about PBL and not afraid to ask”, and has conducted many PBL training workshops in mainland China and Taiwan. For his role as an excellent teacher, a scholar and a leader in medical education, he received an Outstanding Teaching Award of the University of Hong Kong in 2008.

Dr Julie Chen is a graduate of Dalhousie University, Canada and a family physician by training. She is currently Chief of Undergraduate Medical Education in the Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care at HKU. She is actively involved in the development of a medical humanities curriculum as part of the core curriculum in undergraduate medical education at the University of Hong Kong. In 2009, Dr Chen and colleagues were recognized with an innovation in medical education award for a pilot version of this programme at the International Medical Education Conference, IMU.

From 1994 to 2006, he led the AAMC in its support of the nation’s medical schools and teaching hospitals; he has spoken extensively on the need to promote greater racial and ethnic diversity in medicine, to uphold professional and scientific values, and to transform the nation’s health care system. Earlier, he was dean medicine at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and associate chairman of medicine at the University of Chicago.

C. Donald Combs, Ph.D. serves as Vice Provost and Dean of the School of Health Professions of the Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS). His responsibilities include direction of all EVMS health professions programs, oversight of medical modeling and simulation, program development, and governmental and community relations. Dr. Combs also holds senior faculty appointments with the EVMS School of Health Professions, the EVMS Department of Family and Community Medicine, and the Department of Modeling, Simulation and Visualization Engineering at Old Dominion University. He has long-standing research interests in health and human services management, health workforce research, strategic planning, and medical modeling and simulation. These interests are reflected in his professional publications and conference presentations, many consultancies with federal, state and local agencies, non-profit services organizations and businesses, and $120 million in external funding.

Dr. Eva began his appointment as Senior Scientist in the Centre for Health Education Scholarship and Associate Professor, Director of Educational Research and Scholarship in the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia in July 2010. He completed his PhD in Cognitive Psychology (McMaster University) in 2001 and became Editor-in-Chief for the journal Medical Education in 2008. In addition to sitting on four other editorial boards Dr. Eva maintains appointments as Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at McMaster University (Canada) and in the School of Health Education at Maastricht University (The Netherlands) and as Visiting Professor at Bern University (Switzerland).

Gayle Gliva-McConvey is the Director of the Professional Skills Teaching and Assessment Center at Eastern Virginia Medical School. For 37 years she has worked with the Standardized Patient (SP) methodology. She has authored/coauthored 18 publications on SPs, presented at over 90 conferences and developed SP programs internationally including schools in China and Moldova. In 1998 Mrs. Gliva-McConvey received an award from the American Association of Medical Colleges (AAMC) recognizing her contributions. She is a founding board member current President of the Association of Standardized Patient Educators (ASPE). She is also a member of the Society of Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) Certification executive committees.

Jim McKillop is Chair of the Undergraduate Board of the GMC which has responsibility for setting and enforcing standards for the 31 medical schools in the UK. He qualified from the University of Glasgow in 1972 and obtained a PhD in 1979. After training in Glasgow and Stanford, he was appointed to his Chair in 1979. His clinical research interests were in nuclear medicine and thyroidology. He has published more than 200 peer reviewed papers. He has a long standing interest in UG medical education. He was Head of the Undergraduate School in Glasgow from 2000 – 2007 and Deputy Executive Dean of the Faculty from 2007-2010. Other posts he has held include Chair of the Scottish Deans Medical Education Group, membership of the MRCP(UK) Policy Committee and Chair of NHS Education for Scotland Medical Advisory Group. As a disabled person he has an interest in promoting realistic opportunities in medicine for others with a disability.

Professor Ronald Harden graduated from the medical school in Glasgow, UK. He practised as an endocrinologist before moving full time to medical education. He was formerly Professor of Medical Education, Teaching Dean and Director of the Centre for Medical Education at the University of Dundee. Professor Harden is currently Editor of Medical Teacher and General Secretary and Treasurer of the Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE). Professor Harden is recognised as one of the leading international authorities in medical education and has received numerous prizes and awards recognising his achievements. He brings to medical education a unique blend of theory and practical experience. He has written extensively in his areas of interest and has published more than 400 papers in leading journals. He is co-editor of the best-selling book – “A Practical Guide for Medical Teachers”.

Originally from Melbourne Australia, Wayne won the 1995 Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) Buchanan prize. Wayne moved to New Zealand (NZ) to assist EM development. In NZ Wayne had roles of Director EM Training, Chair Auckland Regional Training Program, Head of EM Education and Research, University of Auckland EM undergraduate co-ordinator, ACEM NZ Censor, ACEM Chair Credentials and ACEM Censor in Chief (Chair Board of Education). Wayne has completed a UoA Masters in Clinical Education with "direct observation" research and worked for CMHSE (the UoA medical education unit). New challenges evolve as Wayne has moved back to Australia working as an Emergency Physician at Prince Charles Hospital Brisbane.

My background is in psychology and my PhD was in the area of educational psychology.

He earned his Master of Health Professions Education, and Ph.D. in educational psychology from University of Illinois at Chicago in 2004 and 2007, respectively. He is now working at the Division of General surgery, Siriraj hospital. His current position is an assistant professor and an assistant dean of undergraduate education of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital. His research interests are performance assessment, test development, Rasch measurement, and health outcome measurement.

Steven L. Kanter, MD, serves as Vice Dean of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine (UPSOM). Dr. Kanter draws from a diverse background of experience that includes clinical medicine, medical informatics, medical education, scholarly publishing, and medical school administration. He has been a driving force in curricular renewal at UPSOM, has played a key role in reformulating guidelines for promotion of faculty, and has established a system of “promotion pathways” at UPSOM which provides an explicit framework for career development. Dr. Kanter also serves as Editor-in-Chief of Academic Medicine, the peer-reviewed journal of the Association of American Medical Colleges.

Dr. Indika Karunathilake is the Director of Medical Education Development And Research Centre (MEDARC), Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. Dr. Karunathilake received his training in Medical Education at the Centre for Medical Education, University of Dundee, Scotland, where he obtained a Postgraduate Diploma and subsequently a Masters Degree in Medical Education. Dr. Karunathilake has conducted extensive research and authored many publications in medical education. His research interests include assessment, e-learning and curriculum development. He has been a resource person in Medical Education for many national, regional and international forums. In addition to his responsibilities in Medical Education, Dr. Indika Karunathilake serves as the Secretary of the Sri Lanka Medical Association (SLMA), the apex body of medical professionals in Sri Lanka.

Victor K E Lim is currently the Executive Dean and Professor of Pathology at the Faculty of Medicine and Health, International Medical University in Kuala Lumpur. Prior to this appointment he was Director of the Infectious Diseases Research Centre at the Institute for Medical Research in Kuala Lumpur and the Professor of Microbiology and Deputy Dean (Academic Affairs) at the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He obtained his MBBS from the University of Malaya in 1974, MSc in Medical Microbiology from the University of London in 1978, and passed the Royal College of Pathologists examinations (MRCPath) in 1981. He is presently the Immediate Past President of the Western Pacific Society of Chemotherapy, the Master of the Academy of Medicine of Malaysia, a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists and a Fellow of the Academy of Sciences of Malaysia. His fields of interest include antimicrobial chemotherapy and infectious diseases and has published and presented over 350 scientific papers.

Dr McAdams is an internal medicine specialist who trained at New York University in New York City. She received her undergraduate degree in History of Art from Yale University. At Duke-NUS, Dr McAdams is Medical Director of the Clinical Performance Centre (CPC) which houses the Simulation Labs and operates the Standardized Patient (SP) Program. Dr McAdams is part of the teaching faculty of the Practice Course Year 1 and Year 2 courses and runs the medical school’s clinical skills assessments program. Dr McAdams’s areas of interest and research are doctor-patient communication skills, SP-based assessment, simulation-based education and professionalism.

Previously, Geoff was the Associate Director of Research and Curriculum Development for the Division of Prehospital and Emergency Healthcare at the Michael S. Gordon Center for Research in Medical Education (GCRME), University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

Dr. Hiroshi Nishigori is an Assistant Professor at the International Research Center for Medical Education, the University of Tokyo. He graduated from the Nagoya University School of Medicine in 1998. He completed his residency training at Maizuru Municipal Hospital in Kyoto (1998-2001) and became a Fellow of the Japanese Society of Internal Medicine (2004). He received his training in Medical Education at the Centre for Medical Education, University of Dundee and obtained a Masters Degree in Medical Education (2008). He also holds a PhD degree (general medicine) from the Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine (2008). He is now a tutor for medical students, a clinician educator for residents and medical education researcher at the present institution. His research interests include teaching and learning (especially about physical examination), professionalism, and international medical education

Dr. Junji Otaki is the professor and chief of the Department of Medical Education and the Department of General Medicine and Primary Care, Tokyo Medical University. He graduated from Tsukuba University School of Medicine in 1983, and completed his residency training at Kawasaki Medical University Hospital in 1988. While devoting himself to patient care and management of residency program at Tsukuba University Hospital, Dr. Otaki took an opportunity to study at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, USA, as a visiting research fellow in the field of medical education from 1996 to 1997. He holds a doctorate in Medical Science conferred by Hokkaido University Graduate School of Medicine in 1998. He worked as a clinician educator in the field of primary care at Hokkaido University Hospital for 5 years. From 2002 to 2005, he was appointed Associate Professor at the International Research Center for Medical Education, the University of Tokyo. Since October 2005, Dr. Otaki has been engaged in teaching residents, medical students and graduate students at Tokyo Medical University. He has been a fellow of the Japanese Society of Internal Medicine since 1989 and an executive board member of the Japan Society for Medical Education since 2003. His interests on research include teaching and learning basic clinical competence, fostering of competent primary care physicians, and international cooperation in the field of medical education.

Professor N. G. He has worked as a surgeon and medical educator in India, UK and Papua New Guinea before shifting to Hong Kong in 1992. He was awarded MBE (Member of British Empire) for his outstanding services to people of Papua New Guinea. His contributions to curriculum reform at the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine; and international recognition in affairs of medical education is highly appreciated. His passion for clinical teaching was recognized by University of Hong Kong with prestigious award of University Teaching Fellowship medal in 2004. He is also actively involved in educational affairs of College of Surgeons of Hong Kong; and Hong Kong Academy of Medicine. His clinical interest includes ambulatory surgery.

Dr Pawlina earned his medical degree from the Copernicus Medical School, Krakow, Poland, where he was appointed as lecturer and instructor in Gross Anatomy. Since 1986 he worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Florida College of Medicine before joining the faculty of the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology. In 1999 he relocated to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and is appointed as the Professor of Anatomy and Medical Education. He serves as the Chair of the Department of Anatomy and Assistant Dean for Curriculum Development and Innovation. His research interest in medical education is directed towards strategies to implement professionalism, leadership, and teamwork in the early medical curriculum. Recently he employs social network analysis to evaluate teamwork and professionalism in anatomy course. He is also Editor-in-Chief of Anatomical Sciences Education, a new journal of American Association of Anatomists.

Dr. Phrampus been involved in medical simulation since 1997 and has led numerous efforts in programmatic implementation of simulation programs aimed at patient safety and quality, as well as improving the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare education and operations. He is particularly interested in implementing simulation into the evaluation of competency of practicing healthcare providers as well as increasing the effectiveness and efficiency by which simulation education can be deployed. Dr. Phrampus is an international speaker on effective uses of simulation and leadership of multidisciplinary simulation efforts with a focus on sustainable models of operations. He is a practicing Emergency Physician at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Author of several journal articles and books, he is a peer reviewer of many international journals. He is a postgraduate tutor, examiner, and resource material developer in national and international medical education courses. Gominda has also carried out consultations for educational projects. His research interests include assessment (including selection for training), and curriculum development and evaluation.

Jan-Joost Rethans studied medicine at Maastricht University. After finishing specialist training in family practice he worked 17 years part-time as a family physician and as a researcher at the Research Institute ‘Extra’ of Maastricht University. During this period he also worked three years in Norway, both as a clinician and as a researcher. He has a PhD in Medical Education from Maastricht University (1990, ‘cum laude’- rating). He delivered 7 PhD students who all conducted studies in the field of performance assessment of physicians, mostly using the methodology of incognito standardized patients. In 1998 he joined the Skillslab of FHML, Maastricht University. He was elected as chair (1998-2004) of the Executive Board of the European General Practice Research Network (EGPRN). In 2004 he joined the Board of Directors of ASPE (Association of Standardized Patient Educators), where he was initiator and first chair of the Committee ASPE-International. He held positions as visiting professor at Gifu University, Medical Education Development Centre, Japan (2008) and at Osaka Medical School, Osaka (2008) during a three months stay in Japan. In 2010 he received the Outstanding Educator Award 2010 by ASPE as first person outside North America. Dr. Rethans is author/co-author of more than 70 publications in international peer reviewed medical journals. The majority of his papers deal with simulated or standardized patient methodology.

He is a former President of the International Association of Bioethics. His recent books include Health as Liberation (1996), Medical Ethics (with D.G. Jones and G. Gillet, 3rd Edition 2005) and The Body in Bioethics (2009). He was formerly chair of the Ethics and Governance Council of UK Biobank and Vice-Chair of the UK Retained Organs Commission. Professor Campbell is currently a member of the Bioethics Advisory Committee to the Singapore Government, of the National Medical Ethics Committee of the Ministry of Health as well as of the National Oversight Committee for Human-Animal Combinations in Stem Cell Research. He is also a Board Member of the Health Sciences Authority of Singapore and of the National Medical Research Council.

Professor Sally Chan is the Head and Professor at the Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, National University of Singapore. She is the Visiting Professor at Sun Yatsen University, and Xiamen University at PR China. She is a fellow of the Hong Kong College of Mental Health Nursing. Professor Chan has extensive experience in education and research. Her research work and publications are in the areas of nursing education, mental health, family interventions, and quality of life. She has published over 200 academic and professional papers and numerous research grants. Professor Chan serves on editorial board and reviewer panel for more than 20 international refereed journals. Professor Chan is the convener of the East Asia Forum of Nursing Scholar; member of the Board of Directors of Sigma Theta Tau International-Upsilon Eta Chapter; Co-chair of the Nurses Shared Interest Group, International Psychogeriatic Association; and member of the Executive Council, Singapore Nurses Association. Professor Chan is actively involved in promoting interprofessional education and simulation learning. She is a member and co-chair of the Interprofessional Education Committee and Advisor of the Executive Committee, Simulation and Skills Training Centre at NUS. She was a member of the Hong Kong Nursing Council (2004-2009); Chairperson (2002- 2006) and Vice-chairperson (2006-March 2010) of the Hong Kong Society for Nursing Education; and President of the Hong Kong College of Mental Health Nursing (2007- Jan 2010). Professor Chan teaches undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and supervises doctoral students. Professor Chan has been awarded the ‘Teacher of the Year’ in 1998, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, and the ‘Master Teacher’ in 2007 by the Faculty of Medicine, the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Dr Nicholas Chew obtained his MBBS in 1995, his Masters of Medicine in Psychiatry and a Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy in 2001 from the National University of Singapore. He is currently the Designated Institutional Official for the NHG-AHPL Residency Program as well as the Chair of the Common Curriculum Workgroup within the NHG Graduate Medical Education Committee. In 2009 and 2010 he received funding for the Integrated Mental Health Teams project from the Ministry of Health to start the HIV Psychiatry Programme and the Effective Mood Management After Stroke Programme at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. In addition, Dr Chew is the Medical Faculty for Risk Management Training at the Cognitive Institute and Medical Protection Society, a Senior Lecturer at the National University of Singapore and a visiting consultant at the National University Hospital Department of Psychological Medicine.

Dr Chew was awarded the Hospital Manpower Development Program award in 2005 in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry and Short-term psychodynamic Psychotherapy at Montreal General Hospital and McGill University. He is currently pursuing his Masters of Medical Education also under the Hospital Manpower Development Programme.

Ling Huey has been with the Singapore General Hospital since 1995. Her first twelve years were exciting times – as a pioneer of the SGH-Postgraduate Medical Institute team, building strong conference organizing capabilities, introducing healthcare management education and pedagogy to doctors and running an interactive Telemedicine CME program. She spent the next 3 years at SGH Communications Dept deriving satisfaction from building a vibrant hospital intranet, nurturing SGH Facebook to a fan base of almost 2,000 within a year, leading an inaugural communications audit on hand hygiene and supporting H1N1 communications during the outbreak. In May 2010, Ling Huey joined the SGH-Postgraduate Allied Health Institute. Under her leadership, PGAHI rolled out its first comprehensive 7-module course on “Fundamentals of Clinical Research”. Ling Huey holds an MBA and a BSc (Hons) from the National University of Singapore and a Diploma in Training & Development Management from the Singapore Institute of Management. She has been actively using the DISC and KOLB profiling instruments to facilitate self-awareness, enhance learning effectiveness and strengthen relationships. Paul Ulhas Macneill is Professor of Ethics and Law in Medicine in the Centre for Biomedical Ethics, National University of Singapore (NUS). He has a long experience of teaching ethics and health law to students in Australia. As a member of the Professionalism Committee in the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, he co-authored a report on professionalism, and new strategies for teaching professionalism in medicine, and published a paper arising from that work (with Dujeepa Samarasekera) entitled, "Professionalism as inspiration and discernment in educating medical students and trainees". Paul is particularly interested in teaching methods and is developing an on-line model for teaching ethics. He has published on bioethics and teaching ethics—most recently on 'Art and Medicine: A Challenging Relationship'; 'Art and Bioethics'; 'Balancing ethical reasoning and emotional sensibility' and 'Yoga and Ethics: The importance of practice'.

He was President of the Australasian Bioethics Association (2000-2003), a Board member of the International Association of Bioethics (2001-2009), and convener and President of the 7th World Congress of Bioethics in Sydney in 2004. He is Co-ordinator of the International Arts Bioethics Network and Presenter of an Arts Bioethics exhibition and performance program in the 9th World Congress of Bioethics in Croatia in 2008, and a similar program in the 10th World Congress of Bioethics held in Singapore (July 2010).

Dr Samarasekera has been involved in curriculum planning, evaluation, and student assessment at both undergraduate and postgraduate level health professional courses. He provides educational expertise and staff development to the medical faculties and other health professional institutions. He is the Co-chair for faculty development at the National University Health System (NUHS) Residency program and a member of the Graduate Medical Education Committee of NUHS. He serves as a member of the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee and heads the Continuous Quality Improvement section of the deanery education of Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Dr. Samarasekera is in the editorial advisory boards of South East Asian Journal of Medical Education (SEAJME), Korean Journal of Medical Education and serves as external faculty to CMHSE, University of Auckland; Semey State Medical University, Kazakhstan. His main research interests are in effective teaching/learning behaviours and assessment.

Dr Siau Chiang is a Senior Consultant with Department of Anesthesia, National University Health System and Associate Professor with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. He has a keen interest in the adoption of simulation as a tool for healthcare education and is actively involved in the development, review and teaching of medical undergraduate and postgraduate curricula. His clinical interests include peri-operative pain management and ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia.

Clara Sin Clara SIN

Ms Clara Sin is the Director of Medical Affairs (Education) at the National University Health System (NUHS). She is the key administrator supporting the Designated Institutional Official (DIO) for the NUHS Residency Program and was instrumental in setting up the Graduate Medical Education Office at NUHS. She also oversees the National University Hospital (NUH) Associate Dean’s Office that is responsible for Undergraduate Medical Education at the hospital. Prior to joining Medical Affairs, Clara was covering hospital operations in Dental, Medicine, Orthopaedics, and Emergency Medicine; and was actively involved in the set-up of the NUH Lean Office.

Dr Song graduated from Witwatersrand University, South Africa with an MBBCh and obtained the FRCS (Edin) and FAM (Plast Surg) Singapore. He has been practicing as a Plastic Surgeon since 1986. His main clinical interests are in Difficult Wounds, Head & Neck & Breast Reconstructive Surgery and Aesthetic Surgery. His research interests cover Wound Healing, Tissue Engineering of composite skin substitutes, small blood vessel and Epidermal Stem Cell Technology. He spearheads the SingHealth cluster-wide education of health care personnel. He sits on the Specialist Training Committee for Plastic Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery and is a Senior Consultant with the Ministry of Health, Singapore Manpower Standards & Development Committee. Dr Song has held many distinguished positions; among them is the Founder President of the Asian Wound Healing Association, President of Wound Healing Society Singapore and President, Association of Burn Injuries Singapore. He has also published extensively in international and regional journals. He is also enrolled as a Masters student in Medical Education & Leadership at present

Tan Celia TAN Celia

Dr Celia Tan started in health care as a physiotherapist and quickly developed the passion for capacity building and service expansion to meet the increasing health care needs of her patients and fellow colleagues. In her 25 years of experience, she has started many new clinical services and centres especially at the Singapore General Hospital. She is currently the Director of the SGH Postgraduate Allied Health Institute (PGAHI) which provides much needed training for our local and Asian Allied Health professionals. She is also actively involved in training Physiotherapists overseas in Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, Vietnam and China. She volunteers as Singapore Volunteers Overseas Team Leader with Singapore International Foundation. Celia was also instrumental in the founding and development of the SGH Lifestyle Improvement and Fitness Centre. She has also developed the satellite rehabilitation centres in the polyclinics and heartlands. A visionary, Celia has been in the forefront of leadership providing Physiotherapy consultation to the Ministry of Heath, Singapore International Foundation, Ngee Ann Polytechnic and the Singapore Physiotherapy Association, where she led as President for the last 10 years and continues to serve as its Honorary Advisor. She is currently an Honorary Fellow of Melbourne University and adjunct Senior Clinical Fellow of Curtin University, Australia.

Dr Tan is an Associate Professor in Pharmacology, National University of Singapore (NUS) and Consultant Psychiatrist, National University Hospital. She served on the Educational Task Force of Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, on Curriculum Review as well as faculty Professional Development and coordinates the Mentoring Program. She is a Member of the Medical Education Unit and is actively involved in students and faculty assessment, Objective-Structured-Clinical-Examination and Objective-Structured-Teacher and Examiner Evaluation. She is on the editorial board of Medical Progress and International Journal of Mental Health and an invited manuscript reviewer for various International Neuroscience and Psychiatric Journals. Dr Tan has been active in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and NUHS Residency Curriculum planning. She has received the University Annual Teaching Excellence Awards in 2004/2005 and 2001/2002 and has been awarded Master of Medical Education by University of Dundee in 2011.

Terry Pan Pan Ling Te Terry

Dr Pan graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Sydney, NSW Australia in 1999. He completed his specialist training in Anaesthesia and has been a fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) since 2009. Dr Pan has keen interest in medical education, especially the use of simulation in healthcare education. He is currently involved in teaching medical undergraduate and postgraduate students and crisis management for nurses and other healthcare professionals. His other interests include medical curriculum development, ultrasound guided regional anaesthesia, paediatric and transplant anaesthesia.

Wee Liang En WEE Liang En

Mr Wee Liang En is currently a 3rd year medical student in the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine of the National University of Singapore (NUS). He is the Research Director of a student–led faculty–supported initiative to offer affordable multi–disease health screening to poor residents in Taman Jurong, Singapore, known as the Neighbourhood Health Screening (NHS). He evaluated the effectiveness of the NHS on improving participation rates in health screening among the socio–economically disadvantaged and the pedgagogical value of peer–led experiential learning within this programme. His current research interests include student–led peer learning programmes and service–learning in medical education. He has published his medical education research in Academic Medicine, Medical Education and Annals of Academy of Medicine Singapore.
