A novel therapeutic target for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC)

Oncoproteins play essential roles in the development of various human cancers. This study led by A/P Gautam Sethi et al confirms a novel oncoprotein that increases tumour growth in mouse models and HCC patients thereby proposing this novel oncoprotein as a therapeutic target for the treatment of HCC.
