
Elizabeth LOKE
Elizabeth Loke is a research assistant at the Centre for Sustainable Medicine, with a focus on projects within the realm of implementation sciences and the promotion of sustainable healthcare practices. She hopes to gain insight into physician and patient attitudes, beliefs and behaviours with relation to decarbonisation efforts in the healthcare sector.
Prior to CoSM, Elizabeth graduated from the National University of Singapore, with a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Political Science, with a second major in English literature. her Honours Thesis, ‘Issues of Translation: How The Politicisation of Scientific Knowledge Affects Environmental Public Policy’, examined the processes that governed the production and dissemination of scientific knowledge that contributed to the design of environmental public policies and resistance towards them. She has an understanding of the broader implications of climate change and the political and socio-economic barriers to the implementation of green policies, and hopes to apply her knowledge to the healthcare sector in Singapore.
