
Dr Evelyn LOO
Dr Evelyn Loo Xiu Ling is a Principal Investigator from Singapore Institute for Clinical Sciences, Agency for Science, Technology and Research, and an Adjunct Assistant Professor from Department of Paediatrics and Principal Investigator from Human Potential Translational Research Programme, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
Her research interest is examining the epidemiology and mechanisms of disease development in children in relation to the Developmental Origins of Health and Disease (DOHaD) concept. Her work primarily focuses on the role of the exposome in child’s health, which includes a diverse array of environmental exposures including diet, lifestyle, urban design and greenspace exposure. At the Centre for Sustainable Medicine, Dr Loo is investigating the impacts of microplastics and air pollution on human health, using multi-omics approaches and machine learning methods.
She has received funding support from National Medical Research Council as well as A*STAR Human Potential – Prenatal/Early Childhood grants for her work.
