
Dr Anna RASMUSSEN
Dr Anna Rasmussen is a PhD candidate specialising in environmentally sustainable healthcare at Copenhagen University and Zealand University Hospital in Denmark. She holds an MSc in Health Policy, Planning, and Financing from the London School of Economics and Political Science and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, building on her background as a medical doctor.
Anna’s research focuses on applying life cycle assessment to orthopaedic procedures in collaboration with the Technical University of Denmark, with the goal of reducing healthcare’s environmental footprint. Alongside her academic work, Anna has been actively shaping climate and health policy for over a decade while practising as a medical doctor. She played a key role in developing the Danish Medical Association’s Climate Policy and co-founded Doctors for Climate – Denmark, advocating for sustainable healthcare systems.
Anna’s expertise aligns closely with the Centre’s ongoing research projects, and she will be a guest researcher from March 1st to May 31st, 2025.
