Entry into Japan
Travelers entering Japan are required to complete immigration and customs procedures upon entry. Visitors are encouraged to digitally submit immigration and customs-related information ahead of time via Visit Japan Web for a smoother entry into the country without the need to fill out paper forms.

Through the Visit Japan Web platform, travellers can register their passport details, flight information, accommodation in Japan, and travel purpose. Upon completing the form, travellers will receive QR codes for immigration clearance and customs declaration, which can be presented on arrival.

Travelers who do not complete the online submission may still fill in paper arrival and customs declaration cards, provided on the plane or upon arrival at the airport. These forms require basic personal and travel information, including passport details, flight number, intended address in Japan, and length of stay.

We look forward to welcoming you to Kyoto for APMEC 2027.
