On behalf of the organising committee, it is my great pleasure to share with you the Asia Pacific Medical Education Conference (APMEC) 2025 theme, "Developing a Holistic Healthcare Practitioner for a Sustainable Future - Trends ● Issues ● Priorities ● Strategies"

As the Conference Chair, I am excited to invite a diverse group of healthcare professionals, educators, researchers, and experts from the healthcare industry gather to explore and discuss the important topic of training a holistic healthcare practitioner. In our fast changing healthcare landscape, the need for a more comprehensive and integrated approach to healthcare has never been more apparent. The focus of this conference is on fostering a deep understanding of the multidimensional aspects that contribute to sustainable health, and the pivotal role educators play in achieving this goal through creating learner conducive training environments. I hope the conference will enable insightful discussions, share innovative approaches, and explore practical strategies to develop healthcare practitioners who can address the complex health challenges of our time.

Our agenda includes keynote speeches from distinguished experts, interactive panel discussions, and presentations of educational scholarship in this area. The key focus areas of APMEC 2025 would be to explore and share the integration of physical, mental, and social well-being in healthcare delivery to create a more comprehensive and patient-centred approach, how best to enhance and encourage dialogue and collaboration among healthcare professionals from various disciplines to address the interconnected nature of health issues, advance sustainable health strategies through education and training and how best to empower healthcare practitioners to contribute to a resilient healthcare system.

I encourage you to join and actively participate in the sessions and engage in networking opportunities. Let's grasp this unique APMEC platform to share our knowledge, experiences, and ideas, fostering a collaborative environment that will drive positive change in medical and health professions education.
