Serene holds undergraduate degrees in Computational Science and Chemistry, and a Master in Bioinformatics. She has worked as a researcher, editor, and medical writer. Presently a PhD candidate at the Centre for Biomedical Ethics, she is interested in the ethics of genetic testing and other new technologies.
