Paediatric Ethics Programme (PEP@CBmE)

Vision

To promote the awareness of the unique ethical issues that impact the health and well-being of children.

Mission

1.       To strengthen scholarly activity, including teaching and research, on current paediatric ethical issues, both in clinical practice and research realms.

2.       To promote the awareness and education of healthcare professionals, patients and their advocates and lay public on sound ethical decision-making unique to healthcare in children.

3.       To foster outreach and networking with regional paediatric ethics communities with the aim to collaborate and improve the paediatric ethics landscape in the region.

Purpose

There are unique ethical issues that impact the health and well-being of children. This programme was established in October 2022 to support the CBmE’s  aim to develop understanding and capacity in the domain of Paediatric Ethics.

Identify and address through research and education, contemporary and emerging ethical issues in paediatric clinical practice and research.
