After earning his doctoral degree in engineering in 2009, Hong Choon has been involved extensively in health services research in various public healthcare institutions in Singapore. He currently heads the Health Services Research team in CGH which primarily leads and supports CGH researchers in the domains of analytics, health technology assessment and program evaluation. Hong Choon also serves as Deputy Director at SingHealth Centre for Population Health Research and Implementation where he leads the evaluation effort of key population health programmes within the SingHealth cluster. On educational front, Hong Choon teaches analytics in academic programs organized by NUS and SingHealth-SUTD. Hong Choon’s current research interest is in the areas of prescriptive/predictive analytics, and cost effectiveness evaluation
