Site-Specific Resources (SSR)

Research at N2CR spans bench to bedside, across different cutting-edge research themes with site-specific resources support.

Both fundamental cancer research and its translation to clinical application will flourish and achieve their greatest impact when coupled to studies on human tissues and experimental models. Cancer as a disease is unique in requiring site-specific infrastructure for different tissues.

The N2CR Site-Specific Resources (SSR) initiative aims to support innovative research with the goal of improving clinical outcomes for cancer patients by providing resources, ranging from patient sample collections, derivative models to core capabilities for the acquisition or analysis of data from these clinical samples, across the Programme research themes. These site-specific infrastructure and resources are essential to underpin the translational and basic research in each theme.

N2CR SSR has established working partnership with NUHS Tissue Repository to provide a seamless and swift avenue to N2CR investigators for expedite access to consented/anonymised patient samples and derivative tissue models and samples for research.

Please provide a brief description of your project, including any other details that might assist us in assessing your request or locating potential collaborators for ethics approval and sharing of samples. (These details might allow us to gauge if you require, for example, samples from both healthy controls and patients, samples from treatment-resistant patients, samples of a specific molecular sub-type, etc.)
