N2CR Enters a New Chapter

N2CR is moving into an exciting new phase. Since its establishment in 2020, N2CR has flourished under the leadership of Founding Director Prof Ashok Venkitaraman, building a strong foundation that unites more than 100 faculty members across basic, translational and clinical sciences.

We are now delighted to welcome Prof Goh Boon Cher as our new Director, with Dr Anand Jeyasekharan serving as Deputy Director. Together, they will guide N2CR into its next chapter built around two new cross‑cutting themes:

  • SCOUT – Screening and Carcinogenesis: Origins in Unique Tissues
  • COMPASS – Customised Oncology through Molecular Profiling and Strategic Selection

These initiatives will spark innovation, deepen collaborations, and tackle the unique challenges of Asian cancers. At the same time, we remain committed to training the next generation of researchers and engaging the wider community to make a lasting impact.

With new leadership and a renewed thematic structure, N2CR is poised to strengthen interdisciplinary collaborations, expand research impact, and position Singapore as a global leader in cancer research and innovation. We invite collaborators, partners, and advocates to join us on this journey towards new frontiers in cancer discovery and care.
