N2CR Continues to Inspire: Educational Outreach for Sec 3 Students

Building on the success of our inaugural outreach in 2024, N2CR hosted its second educational programme, Inspiring Young Minds: A Day in the World of Cancer Research and Healthcare, on Wednesday 29 October 2025 at NUS and NUHS.

This year, Sec 3 students from Beatty Secondary School, Chung Cheng High School (Yishun), Paris Ris Crest Secondary School, St. Anthony’s Canossian Secondary School and Zhenghua Secondary School joined us to deepen their understanding of biomedical sciences and healthcare. They attended engaging talks by scientists and clinicians, explored the RNA Laboratory and the Pathology Museum, as well as toured NUH to learn more about a cancer patient’s journey and how healthcare teams work together to provide care.

The day concluded with an interactive quiz, where the top three winners walked away with exciting prizes!

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the students and teachers who participated. We hope this experience further inspired your curiosity about biomedical sciences and the diverse career opportunities in this evolving field.

This learning journey was made possible through the partnership with the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore and support from the ncRNA Core Facility, and the Pathology Museum, NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.

We are also deeply grateful to our advisors from the Science Centre Singapore for their continued support and guidance.
