Site-Specific Resources

Site-Specific Resources (SSR)

Research at N2CR spans bench to bedside, across different cutting-edge research themes with site-specific resources support.

Both fundamental cancer research and its translation to clinical application will flourish and achieve their greatest impact when coupled to studies on human tissues and experimental models. Cancer as a disease is unique in requiring site-specific infrastructure for different tissues.

The N2CR Site-Specific Resources (SSR) initiative aims to support innovative tissue-specific research with the goal of improving clinical outcomes for cancer patients by providing resources, ranging from patient sample collections, derivative models to core capabilities for the acquisition or analysis of data from these clinical samples, across the Programme research themes. These site-specific infrastructure and resources are essential to underpin the translational and basic research in each theme, helping to address questions linked to treatment resistance and disease recurrence.
