I am a researcher specializing in autophagy and neurodegeneration, utilizing mammalian cellular systems, pathological, and aging animal models to investigate autophagy’s role in health, aging, and neurodegenerative diseases. At the Centre for Healthy Longevity, I lead animal intervention studies and stem cell platforms under the Healthy Longevity Translational Research Programme, testing repurposed drugs, natural products, and geroprotectors to enhance autophagy, extend healthspan, and mitigate age-related pathologies.

He leads validation of LinAge2 across Singapore cohorts (SG70, LIFELONG), co-leads the Singapore Chinese Health Study and medical technology innovation at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, and collaborates with NOVI Health to integrate aging clocks into clinical practice.
