Associate Professor Victor Lee

Dr Victor K Lee is a Senior Consultant and Associate Professor from the Department of Pathology, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University Singapore. He trained as a histopathologist in Australia and underwent further subspecialty training in bone and soft tissue tumours both in Australia (Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney) and the United States (University of Chicago and Emory University). He has active grant-funded research interests in the fields of musculoskeletal & molecular pathology, and sarcomagenesis related to the Wnt signaling pathway and epigenetic regulation, with publications (pathology and science journals, book chapter), poster and oral presentations in these areas. He is also active in postgraduate education teaching to pathologists, sarcoma clinicians and residents in the field of bone and soft tissue pathology both locally and internationally.




Associate Professor Fredrik Petersson
MD, PhD
Senior Consultant, Department of Pathology, NUHS, SINGAPORE

Dr Fredrik Petersson is a Senior Consultant and Associate Professor at the Department of Pathology, National University Health System. He graduated from Lund University, Sweden in 1992 with MD and received his MD licence from the Swedish Board of Health in 1994. Thereafter, he trained in Histopathology at the Department of Pathology, Ryhov Hospital, Sweden and received his specialist qualification in Histopathology from the Swedish National Board of Health in 1999. In 2004, he received his PhD in pathology from Linköping University, Sweden. His PhD thesis ”Chronic gastritis in a sample of the general population: Helicobacter pylori infection, metaplastic transformation, epithelial proliferation, p53- and p21 expression and antral mucosal gastrin content with reference to gastric carcinoma development”, was awarded the Henrik Sjögren-medal.
Dr Petersson has broad research interests that include head and neck, gastrointestinal, genito-urinary and skin pathology.
He has published more than 160 articles in peer-reviewed international journals, partly in collaboration with other local institutions / departments, and also with research institutions in Europe and the USA and is involved in several ongoing collaborative research projects with European and Scandinavian institutions. He is regularly invited as a speaker at international conferences and as an expert panel member. Dr. Petersson is a member of the editorial board of Head and Neck Pathology, the official journal of the North American Society of Head and Neck Pathology. He is a member of this society, as well as the International Society for Urologic Pathology (ISUP) and in 2013 was invited to become a member of the Arkadi M Rywlin (AMR) International Pathology Slide Seminar Club.




Associate Professor Tan Kong Bing
MBBS, FRCPA, FRCPath, Dip Dermatopath
Senior Consultant, Department of Pathology, NUHS, SINGAPORE

Dr Tan Kong Bing is a medical graduate of the National University of Singapore (NUS), obtaining his MBBS in 1995. He completed his residency training in Pathology in the NUS/NUH in 2004 and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists (UK) and Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia. His subspecialty interests are in Muscle Pathology and Dermatopathology. He underwent clinical fellowship training in the two disciplines at the University of Sydney, the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (Sydney) and the Skin and Cancer Foundation Australia during 2006-2007. He is certified with a Diploma in Dermatopathology (ICDP-UEMS).
Dr Tan is currently a Senior Consultant and Associate Professor in the department. He actively collaborates in the fields of Dermatology and Dermatopathology and is a contributing author to the current edition of WHO Classification of Skin Tumours (chapter on Verrucae). For medical education, he serves as the department’s education director and the medical school’s Phase 2 director.

Brian Rubin, MD, PhD is Chairman and Professor of Pathology and Director of Soft Tissue Pathology, within the Robert J. Tomsich Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Institute, at Cleveland Clinic. He is widely regarded as a thought leader in the field of bone and soft tissue pathology and is a founding member of the International Society of Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology. Dr. Rubin has published over 200 peer reviewed journal articles and is the author of numerous reviews and book chapters. He was a member of the working group that authored the WHO Classification of Tumours of Bone and Soft Tissue in 2002 and 2013.




Professor Lorenzo Cerroni

Prof Cerroni Lorenzo received his MD and his residency training in Dermatology and Venereology at the University La Sapienza in Rome, Italy. He is an editorial member and reviewer of several international reputed journals and a member of many international affiliations. In 2005, he was awarded the Elson B Helwig Memorial Lecture Award 'In recognition of excellence in the realm of diagnostic Dermatopathology and for significant contribution to the Dermatopathology literature and the education of fellows and colleagues' by the American Society of Dermatopathology. He has published over 250 scientific papers and is a co-author of four dermatopathology texts.




Professor Bharat Rekhi
MD, DNB
Professor, Consultant Pathologist, Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, INDIA

Dr Bharat Rekhi is a Professor/Pathologist at the leading tertiary care cancer referral centre of India. His areas of interest are soft tissue and bone tumors, including molecular diagnosis, gynaec oncopathology and cytopathology. He is a recognized HBNI teacher for MD students and has made several national and international presentations, including platform and poster presentations, as well as CMEs. He has published 160 papers (indexed) in national and international peer reviewed journals, including Modern Pathology, Virchows Archives, Pathology, Archives of Pathology and Lab. Medicine, Histopathology, Diagnostic Cytopathology, Cytopathology, Annals of Diagnostic Pathology and several others, in the form of clinicopathologic studies, newer immunohistochemical and molecular markers. He is on the editorial board of several journals, including IJPM and, Journal of Molecular Biomarkers and diagnosis. He is a member of several national and international societies. His awards include grand prize for Best Electronic poster Exhibit at the International Skeletal Society, Rome Italy, 2012; Smt Kunti Mehrotra for best published paper, IAPM, 2012 and recently selected for the prestigious, Dr V.R. Khanolkar award for best published paper IAPM, year 2018. He is an NABL assessor and treasurer of the Indian Academy of Cytologists.




Professor Jian Wang

Dr. Wang received his Master Degree (Oncology) from the Graduate School, Shanghai Medical University, China in 1993 and PhD (Molecular Pathology) from the University of Occupational and Environmental Health, Japan. He is now Professor and Chairman of the Department of Pathology, Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center and Chairman of Chinese Society of soft tissue and bone tumor pathology. He has published about 30 articles as corresponding author. He also published a text book of Pathology of Soft Tissue Tumors. 2nd Edition. People's Medical Publishing House (PMPH), Beijing, 2017.




Professor Joon Hyuk Choi

Dr. Joon Hyuk Choi is a specialist in bone and soft tissue pathology. After graduating from Yeungnam University College of Medicine in 1987, Dr. Choi performed anatomic pathology residency training at Yeungnam University Medical Center and received his PhD degree in Yeungnam University in 1993. He is president of Korean Society of Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology.

Associate Professor Fiona Maclean

Deputy Director, Anatomical Pathology, Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology, Sydney, NSW, AUSTRALIA

Associate Professor Fiona is Deputy Director of Histopathology at Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology, the largest pathology practice in the Southern Hemisphere. She has subspecialty interests in musculoskeletal and urologic pathology and is passionate about teaching pathology to people from all walks of life. Fiona is Clinical Associate Professor at the Department of Clinical Medicine, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Macquarie University, Sydney and is Senior Lecturer at the University of Notre Dame, Sydney. She has authored chapters of the textbooks Sternberg's Diagnostic Surgical Pathology and Histology for Pathologists. Assoc. Prof. Maclean is currently the Secretary of the Australasian Division of the International Academy of Pathology.




Dr Daniel Wong
MBBS, FRCPA
Consultant Pathologist, Western Australian Training Network Co-ordinator Anatomical Pathology, PathWest Laboratory Medicine QEII Medical Centre Perth, WA, AUSTRALIA

Daniel Wong is an Anatomical Pathologist at PathWest in Perth, the State laboratory for Western Australia. He is also the Director of Training for Anatomical Pathology in WA and Lecturer in the School of Medicine at The University of Western Australia. His primary interest is in Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology and he recently took over as Chairman of the Australasian Soft Tissue Tumour Registry. He is also one of two pathologists working as part of the WA Statewide Sarcoma Multidisciplinary Service. He has authored several chapters in various textbooks of pathology including the WHO “Blue Book” as well as a number of papers in peer reviewed journals.



Dr Mok Yingting

Dr. Mok Yingting is an Associate Consultant at the Department of Pathology, National University Health System. She obtained her undergraduate, medical, and postgraduate degrees from the University of Cambridge (UK), and underwent specialist training in pathology at the National University Hospital. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists (UK), Royal College of Pathologists (Australasia), and a member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK). Her subspecialty interests are in molecular pathology as well as bone and soft tissue pathology. Dr Mok holds a concurrent appointment as research clinician at the A*STAR Genome Institute of Singapore.
